Turbo is not a cruising speed: the scooter holds it for eight minutes, then drops back to Sport on its own for fifteen more. Keep it for what it is meant for — pushing back up a current, getting back to the boat — and run the dive in Free. Above all, carry a second battery. It swaps out in seconds on the boat and you are away for another hour — worth more than a speed setting saved. And at 158 Wh it goes in the cabin, which no Vapor battery does.

It depends on the speed: 60 minutes in Free (4.3 km/h), 30 minutes in Sport (6.5 km/h). In Turbo (7.2 km/h) the scooter holds 8 minutes, then drops back to Sport on its own for 15 minutes more (Sublue France 2026 price list). The battery swaps out in seconds, so a second one simply doubles the dive.
Yes, in the cabin — never in the hold. Do check with your airline before you fly: above 100 Wh they have to agree, and two spare batteries at most. The scooter itself, battery removed, goes in the hold without trouble.
The Navbow+ adds a compass, a depth sensor and a temperature sensor, an adjustable depth alarm, and its fast charger is supplied as standard (1 h 45 instead of 3 h 30). Hull, motors and the three modes are identical. See the Navbow+.
Yes, down to 40 metres. The counterweight bracket and its three weights are supplied as standard; a scuba weight harness is available as an option.
Two 1/4"-20 mounts are fitted as standard. They take an action camera, a dive light, or the Sublue photography platform sold separately.
A rinse in clean fresh water, propellers turned by hand, then drying before the battery compartment is closed again. The full routine is on our Transport and maintenance page.
A scooter rinsed after every outing does not age. That is very nearly all it asks.
Sublue asks that the scooter be immersed in clean water within thirty minutes of a sea outing, battery in place, and run for a few seconds at low speed to flush the salt out. No detergent, no soapy water.
Wipe the water off the body and the battery compartment, then let it air-dry somewhere cool. Never use a hairdryer: heat distorts the seals.
Out of season, scooter and battery are stored separately, in their packaging, out of the sun, between 0 and 45 °C and below 65 % humidity. Once a month, run it for ten seconds or so.
A dab of silicone grease on the propeller shafts and on the battery contacts, at the end of the season and after a long sea outing. That is what keeps corrosion away.
It connects over Bluetooth and keeps a log of your outings — depth, temperature, duration. It is also where the scooter's firmware updates come from, and where the safety lock is set, the one that stops the propellers turning out of the water.
